Mushroom farm

Two days ago Zofie and the school went for another excursion. I was told that she enjoyed herself very much.

I decided to withdraw Zofie from ccc. Reason:

1) The curriculum not very fantastic
2) Kindergarten are more focus and shorter hours
3) After the English teacher left, Zofie did not take back any schoolwork home for a very long time.
4) If there was no English class, sure there is mandarin class. However there was nothing from the mandarin.
5) The mandarin teacher did not make effort to make the class interesting. She only wants the student to sit down and listen to her. Boring!!!
6) I saw mandarin teacher speaking Zofie in English.
7) Now I know why Zofie never pick up mandarin till she was with me since the whole Nov.
8) There was no parenting session in Sept but I tried to talk to the teacher hope to know more about what Zofie has been doing in school. However there was nothing much they could tell me.
9) They did not report to me Zofie did not have her mattress cover until more then a month later. I was not able to trace who lost it.
10) They did not make effort to make Zofie drink water after the English teacher left. I have to make a big complain before they could put in efforts
11) Seems to me the English teacher has been putting more efforts in looking after the children and prepare her class.
12) I would still appreciate for what the ccc had done, putting a lot of effort to make Zofie settle down, trust herself and learn to be independent.
13) I think I had enrolled her the right time which there was not many students and the teachers are able to focus.
14) The most difficult time with Jana is over. I would not say she is easy but I think I will not die la!!!
15) Jana behaves better when Zofie is around. This means I will not get a chance to nap.
16) I do feel sad wanting to pull Zofie out. But to give her a better environment and myself too I have to make changes.
17) I went for the ccc orientation hopping to learn more about the school and I made a wrong choice.
18) But I was right; there wasn’t anything special about what they are going to do next year.
19) I was not the only parent who make complains.
20) I believe the sacrifice of making a change is still worth it.


Today is the last day of school. Zofie gave the teachers thank you flowers and all the friends sweets and she cry want to leave together with us. She doesn’t want to stay any longer. I learned that her best friend Kaydon withdraw too.
