1) Douglas Doman said every crawling baby should crawl at least 50m per day which will help them with their eyes vision. Also best to crawl bare footed which help them with their ankle and future development. ALSO best place to crawl on different surfaces E.g pebbles, grass and etc… Me as a ‘kia Si’ parent brought Zofie down stairs this morning and make her crawl as much as possible all over the garden. She explore more on rough path ways also she tried on some pebble and on grass which she didn’t seems to like the grass and I guess that was too wet and soft. She dirties herself which I was most happy about. While she was crawling.. I tell myself very soon this stage will be over… once this stage is over I might not have any chance to watch her crawl like this again.
2) At 2nd April 2008 4.15pm – 4.30pm today, Zofie stood up by herself independently. Was it because of the crawling section this morning? She feels she was ready? Due to strong ankles?
3) Zofie did the painting again this afternoon. This time I wouldn’t dare to give her too much paint and no brushes nor drawing papers. I would let her have a feel of the paint and colours that’s all. Also allows her to get dirty as well as having fun. I gave her a little bit of purple, a little bit of yellow and a little bit of green.
Initially she wanted to give up after playing for a while but I tried my best to encourage her to explore more. E.g I dig a little bit of green with my finger then point it to her finger. While the green was on her finger, She had a good look at it. After this moment she decided to dig some purple and point it on my finger. And my finger turns purple. Very soon she got bored and wanted to wash up. What I’m happy about was she didn’t cry as badly as the last time.
over all this is her art work for today...
