Zofie's first Birthday Party

That my deco...

The party hats were in the goody bags. The children were suppose to colour them and using the Pooh Bear stickers to stick on the hats. however I realized that they were too young to do this activity unless they are 2 years old or older.

Our little friend here enjoy himself very much...

Playing in the pool of balls

Zofie love to look for Pin Heng whenever she sees him. Maybe Pin Heng is really that good looking and he attracted Zofie a lot.

Wow... balloons...

My sister took the video from the side.. How would anyone see the 3 of us?

Luckly my friend took some nice pictures for three of us.
Thanks Jayne.

Saturday 15 March.

I have been planning for this party since last year. I wish for a colorful party since a little girl but never did. So this time I plan for Zofie (sounds like my birthday). Actually my birthday and Zofie’s birthday are very close. My BD is on the 18 March. Both of us are Pisces which means sits at a corner and day dream. Yes I dream for a colorful party and in a wonderland…

It was a one man show doing this party. I was very tired looking after a baby and do decorations at the same time. I can’t wait for the time to get near and start preparing. I started last year doing research, shop around and DIY to save money. I could only do it when Zofie was napping and when I’m in a good mood… On the TV and let it entertains me while doing the work.

I asked myself
Am I crazy by doing this?
Will the kids enjoy themselves?
What am I doing?
What happen if the party doesn’t work out as I plan (Surprise party for the children)?

The moment
I remember there was one moment I was preparing the straws with leave decoration in Zofie’s room and Zofie fell asleep (nap). I thought I could stay a while and she wouldn’t wake up so fast. Who knows 30mins later she woke up from her nap. She holds on the side of the cot with her pacifier in her mouth and smile at me. That was so sweet. I guess it was the clinging sound from the straws that made her woke up.

A lot of time I felt like giving up and starts complaining to some of my friends and relatives. I guess only Hidy and Lynette understand how I feel. The rest tell me not to give up but never help. One person who would still give me a hand is my sister. She helped me to settle the finger prints problem which was all over the honey pot. Also I would like to thanks my husband for driving me around searching for things.

Party Time
I am glad that the children enjoy themselves at the party. And hear a lot of positive comment. Most important all my friends… oh... yes… as well as Leo’s two good friends with their children are growing up happily and healthily. We used to be young and now we are parents. So I am not alone anymore.
